The refurbishment is one of a series of exciting projects in Birkenhead after Wirral Council secured £25 million from the Government, to give more business the opportunity to thrive in sucj a prime location on the periphery of the Wirral Waters Scheme.
The brief was to maximise office space within the building shell and to prepare designs to transform the west of the building while preserving the memory and heritage of the building. New glazed offices were introduced to maximise connection with Egerton Dock whilst allowing a permeable boundary between the various spaces. A new bistro, kitchen, meeting room and lounge for tenants of Egerton House were also created. The building is brought to life with a new central atrium space connecting to the dockside.
